About the owners

Jan Owen and Matt Dennis know what it’s like to experience the challenges of life and need a place to slow down, rest, and have a respite for the soul. As Jan was grieving the death of her husband Phil, she began to envision a cabin on her property where people could come to rest and heal after loss, trauma, or just to take a break from the natural chaos and demands of life. That dream is now a reality and they invite you to come rest your soul at The Sanctuary, a cabin built on a foundation of love and hope. The Sanctuary is located near the owners’ home so Jan and Matt are nearby to help with any questions or concerns that may arise during your stay. Your privacy is always honored, however! Married for seven years, they love sharing their mountain retreat with their friendly miniature Australian Shepherds, Ruby and River. They can’t wait to share it with you as well!
